A narrative case study and in depth look at rape culture and the aftermath.
Written and produced by a survivor of sexual assault, Disfluency highlights Jane Doe’s everyday struggle with the aftermath of rape. All the while, the natural habit of apologizing eerily stays with her throughout, begging the question: have we let rape become a cultural disfluency—an expected, almost unnoticeable interruption—in our culture? We believe this short holds artistic, cultural, and political merit that will help spark change in our current cultural climate. We’re excited to share Jane’s story with you.
